Breaking New Ground
God has walked with our community for several years now in the process of finding a place in Tampa to really call home. We took a serious look at several communities that included College Hill, Bellmont Heights, Suitcase City, Sulphur Springs, North Ybor, and finally Jackson Heights. We studied the demographics of ethnicity, income, members per household, family makeup, age, community development and resources, along with discernment for spiritual poverty, hunger and expression.
One of our biggest hurdles was trying to find a place that would accommodate our desired community (family of 5 going on 6, 2 married couples, and 1 single man). Wow! God is continuing to reshape everything from our expectations to our dreams to our identified felt needs. Something that requires the supernatural.
We have purchased and are currently in process of remodelling in order to reshape the community space into more usuable space... that is both open and inviting.
This should be a great place for our gang to post ministry highlights and happenings.
